What is Sertify?

Sertify connects consumers to small businesses, especially diverse ones. Just spot the Sertify Stamp on storefronts, websites, in social media channels like Facebook and Instagram, and in search sites such as Google and Yelp. Our Sertify Directory helps you search for small businesses. Be sure to read each business’s story in the listing profiles.

Why Use Sertify?

We believe that small businesses help build strong communities. By shopping small, you help make a positive impact. Sertify makes it easy for you to identify small businesses and keep contributing to the local economy! Our goal is to help communities become Powered by Small.

Is Sertify available in my city?

We are based in New York City, and we’re starting out by helping the small businesses in our hometown. That’s why most of the Sertifications are in New York. As we expand across the country, you will see more and more businesses with Sertification near you. Hope to meet you soon!

Will you be adding more categories to the Sertify Community?

We’re launching Sertify with 10. We will be considering more as we expand. We are also planning more services and events. Keep checking back or follow us on social media to learn about our latest news!

What criteria do you use to define a small business?

We currently consider a business as a small business if it has fewer than a total of 250 employees and not a franchisee.

How do you choose the non-profit organizations you donate to?

We select organizations that reflect our Sertify community. We prefer ones that are diverse, help small businesses, or empower people in the work force. See a list of the non-profits we are currently supporting. We will be partnering with more organizations in the near future.
